    Home away from home

We stayed at the Kaki house and in short, is just felt like home for us :)

We were granted an early check in at 11:00 which we really appreciated as our snowboarding lessons starts on the same day in the afternoon and to have the house checked in, it meant that we had time to prepare ourselves! YAY!

The common area at Kaki was excellent (it was our favorite place to hangout after a overwhelming day at Grand Hirafu Village!), large window overlooking the snowy, picturesque forest and the high ceiling made the area more spacious and comfortable for our party of 6.

2 large private baths were available at the bathrooms and it was the perfect place to relax and soak into after the tiring day of snowboarding. Rooms were spacious, just that it was a little too stuffy in the house, and at some point, we just had to open the windows for some fresh air. Amenities were excellent, especially the kitchen was well organized and equipped with everything that you would need to fix up a meal, no matter if it was a simple breakfast or a deluxe dinner.

Just that The Orchards was not located right at the center of the Hirafu village, but as we drove ourselves, it was not too much of a problem for us.

Anyways, we would definitely stay at The Orchards if we had the budget as we really did enjoy our stay there this time!

FYI if you would like to reserve for any onsen tours with them, do reserve the tours in advance as it was already fully booked when we asked during our stay..Just a heads up!
